Sweeping cherry curves meandering along in a windswept sea of wood, the cherry flows up from its base towards weathered tips degraded and thinned by countless brush strokes.

The piece retains elements of the life it once had as a fruit bearing tree but is now beginning anew in a different form. A cherry tree much loved for many years by the local community for its fruit, the tree eventually split in two during bad weather, chopped up and left for firewood. This abandoned piece still bares its past whilst lifting itself up to be seen again.
